2017 (So.): Led the team in both appearances (24) and saves (six) … Ranked eighth in the Sun Belt with his six saves ... Overall, was 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA … ERA was as low as 1.80 through his first 15 appearances before allowing nine earned runs over next four appearances (4.0 innings) … However, he bounced back over his last five appearances (11.2 innings) to close the season with three saves, 2.31 ERA, three earned runs, four walks and eight strikeouts … Early in the season, went 1-0 with two saves during CCU’s five-game win streak ... Faced just 12 batters and threw just 2.2 innings over his three games but had at least one strike out in each game … First, earned the save at UNC Wilmington (3/1) as he entered in ninth inning with a runner on and CCU leading by three … Faced 2 batters, got strikeout and fly out … Versus San Francisco (3/3) he earned the save as he entered in ninth with CCU leading 7-5, allowed hit before getting strikeout, fly out and ground out … Rounded out streak by getting the win versus Winthrop as he entered with game tied in sixth, got strikeout to end sixth and CCU scored in the bottom half … Credited with the win in game one of Illinois DH, pitching 1.1 scoreless and allowing one hit … Was the tough-luck loser at #7 North Carolina ... Allowed three hits and four runs over 1.2 innings, but just one run was earned in the 7-6 loss ... 2016 (Fr.): Named Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American … Was Coastal’s go-to left-hander out of the bullpen … Was 4-0 with two saves in 21 appearances. … Opponent’s only managed a .185 batting average which ranks second on the CCU single-season list (trailing 2016 teammate Mike Morrison’s .169) … Prior to starting in game two versus Campbell and as a relief pitcher, was 4-0 with two saves and a 1.38 ERA and a .135 opponent batting average ... In 18 app (39.0 innings) allowed just nine walks with 33 strikeouts … However, struggled in his last three appearances (Campbell, Radford at Bog South Tournament and North Carolina State at NCAA Regional) due to injury that, allowing nine runs in 3.1 innings and forcing him to miss the Super Regional and College World Series ... Only allowed six runs in his previous 18 outings (39 innings) … Was involved in two of CCU’s shutouts, getting a three-inning save in one (Charleston Southern) .. Entered with CCU leading 6-1, bases loaded and no outs ... Got a ground out which produced a RU run to make score 6-2 then got a strikeout and fly out to end threat … Got the win at #13 North Carolina ... Pitched three innings in relief ... Allowed two hits … Gave CCU a chance in the Georgia Tech finale ... Entered in the third inning with CCU down 4-1 and pitched 4.1 scoreless, allowing one hit and fanning three … Improved to 4-0, getting the win in the Liberty finale ... Pitched three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts … Had a three-inning save in the 6-0 Charleston Southern finale ... Allowed one hit, no run and no walks with two strikeouts … At the Big South Championship, struck out the side in seventh inning versus Radford but allowed three baserunners in the eighth that all scored to tie the game, 5-5.
Prior to Coastal Carolina: Selected to play in the 2015 WPIAL Baseball Coaches Association 12th annual AAAA vs AAA All-Star game … Named Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and QuadASports.com All-Section 5 … Tabbed Quad-A Pitcher of the Year and first team All-Section 5 as well as the Pittsburgh South Hills Almanac’s MVP … As a senior, went 6-1 with a 2.29 ERA and 0.95 WHIP ... In 51 innings, registered a school-record 85 strikeouts … Led Mt. Lebanon to a 15-3 record and 12-0 mark in league play to be the top-ranked team in WPIAL AAAA through the regular season … As a junior, was 6-1 with 61 strikeouts and batted .380 while setting a school record with a 1.07 ERA.
