2017 (Fr.): Prior to the 2017 season, was named the #2 impact freshman in the Sun Belt Conference by D1Baseball.com … Was CCU’s main midweek started and, while he was just 2-2, Coastal was 6-3 in his nine starts … Pitched a scoreless inning, struck out one in his collegiate debut vs James Madison … Credited with the win in his first career start versus Charleston (2/22) ... Was impressive but did not factor in decision in CCU’s win at UNC Wilmington (3/4) as he struck out a career-high nine in just 4.2 innings and CCU did not score until the seventh and eighth innings ... Six of his nine strikeouts came with Seahawks in scoring position … Was credited with the win versus UNCW (3/29) despite pitching just 4.1 innings as he was on a pitch count (threw 71) … Started at #20 Wake Forest (4/11) and struck out five — his second-best season total — in four-plus innings, but allowed seven hits, five runs and three walks … Had a tough start at The Citadel, allowing four hits and four quick runs, but responded to retire 14 straight with five strikeouts with no walks ...
