Coastal Carolina Track and Field Finish Day Two of NCAA East Preliminary
Lexington, Ky. - Coastal Carolina's track and field team members finish day two of NCAA East Region Preliminary, in Lexington, May 25, at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
In the 110-meter hurdles, Keishaun Limehouse, one of four freshmen to advance past preliminaries, finished 10th, to advance to the quarter-finals on Sunday. Limehouse's time of 13.92 was second in the second heat and a personal best. Kevondre Hunt finished 26th with his time of 14.07, finishing fifth in the third heat and Dee Jennings finished with 14.33 in 38th and sixth in fifth heat.
Jerome Coaxum Jr., and Jennings both competed in the quarter-finals of the 400-meter hurdles, where the top 12 will advance to the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Ore. Coaxum placed 19th with his time of 52.41 and Jennings, pulling double duty, placed 23rd with a time of 54.77, both running in the second of three heats.
The prelims for the 200-meter dash allowed Therius Styles to finish 46th with his time of 21.64, ran in the second of six heats.
The quarter-finals will take place on Saturday evening, May 27 at UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
