Chanticleers Men and Women Finish in Sixth at Sun Belt Championships
Arlington, Texas - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams both finish in sixth at the Sun Belt Championships, in Arlington after three days of competition.
The women's team compiled 71 points and the men earned 80 points, over three days.
WOMEN: 6th of 12 -- 71 points
In the track events, Carina Frey finished eighth in the 200m dash with her time of 24.58.
Alyssa LeClaire came in eighth in the 800m run with her time of 2:25.58.
Aynslee van Graan placed first, in the 1500m run in a time of 4:28.25, and LeClaire came in ninth with her time of 4:47.52.
MEN: 6th of 10 -- 80 points
In the track events, Therius Styles improved his qualifying time in the 100m dash to 10.39 to finish in fifth. Styles had a second fifth place finish in the 200m dash with his time of 21.07.
Braylon Wilkerson qualified second and finished second in the 400m dash improving his time to 47.03.
In the 5000m run, Hutson Baumann placed seventh with a time of 15:14.92.
Jerome Coaxum, Jr. placed third in the 400m hurdles in 51.83, with Tre Stanley in fourth with a time of 51.93.
In the 4x100 relay, the team of Limehouse, Styles, Stanley, and Coaxum finished fifth with a time of 40.56.
The team of Coaxum, Jennings, Stanley and Wilkerson placed third, in the 4X400m relay, improving their time to 3:10.08.
