Arlington, Texas - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up day one of competition in the Sun Belt Championships, in Arlington, Friday evening.

WOMEN: 3rd of 12 -- 21 points

Annie Bothma placed first in the 10,000m run, setting a new championship record, with her time of 34:12.04 to lead the way in scoring.

In the field events, Chloe White threw a distance of 44.64m (150' 11"), tying her best throw of the season, in the javelin. Emma Kroger closed the scoring for the Chants in the pole vault finishing sixth with her height of 3.81m (12' 6"), besting her season's best by 0.01m.

MEN: 7th of 10 -- 7 points

In the track events, Hutson Baumann placed fifth in the 10,000m run finishing in 31:19.45 to score for Coastal.

In the field events, Robert Castellani threw 60.22m (197' 7"), his seasons best, in the javelin to finish in sixth to close out the scoring for the Chanticleers.

Coastal Carolina will continue with day two of the Sun Belt Conference Championships Saturday, beginning with the women's long jump scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
