Chanticleers Wrap Up Day Two of Coastal Carolina Invitational
Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Coastal Carolina Invitational, Saturday at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
In the men's field events, Kieran Moore placed 10th in the discus throwing a distance of 39.62m (130') to open up the day. Freshman Michael Pippen followed in 11th with his throw of 39.49m (129' 7").
Connor Langdon cleared a height of 4.15m (13' 7.25") in the pole vault to finish in fifth.
The shot put saw two Chanticleers finish in the top five, Zach Bolton placed third with his throw of 15.79m (51' 9.75"), followed by Moore in fourth with 15.61m (51' 2.75").
The men in the track events saw Hutson Baumann win the 3000m with his time of 8:48.21.
Devin Pringle finished second in the 100m dash with his time of 10.72, and Floyd followed in fourth with 10.80.
Pringle, pulling double duty, placed second in the 200m dash with his time of 22.16, Malcolm Simmons placed ninth with 22.50.
Lisha van Onselen finished second in the seeded 1500m with 4:42.05.
Frommann placed second in the 100m dash with 11.97.
Alyssa LeClaire running in the seeded 800m placed second with 2:17.00.
In the 200m, Kiana Robinson finished eighth with 25.75.
Coastal Carolina will return to action March 15-17 to compete in the 2018 Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. The event will be held at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
