CONWAY - Members of the Coastal Carolina cross country and track and field programs took a trip to Pee Dee Elementary School Thursday afternoon as part of the "Run, Jump and Throw with the Chants" program.

Accompanied by Jeff Jacobs, the head men's track and field/cross country coach, the Coastal student-athletes demonstrated the basic skills of track and field and delivered a message of living a healthy lifestyle to the students of Pee Dee Elementary.

The Coastal student-athletes oversaw Pee Dee students participate in events such as sprints, hurdles, relays, the javelin and shot-put.

This is the fourth year that CCU and Pee Dee have participated in this program. CCU students and coaches will return to Pee Dee Thursday, Nov. 1, for a second edition of Run, Jump and Throw with the Chants.
