June 21, 2013
DES MOINES, Iowa - Freshman Jessica Gelibert raced her way into the 400 meter hurdles final of the USA Track & Field Junior Championships with the third fastest time in the qualifying heats. Fellow freshman Matthew Lights finished fourth in his qualifying heat but was unable to advance to the finals of the men’s 400 meter hurdles.
Gelibert finished second in her heat with a time of 58.81 but her time would have won two of the other three heats. Gelibert will compete tomorrow at 2:38 p.m.
