PHILADELPHIA - The Coastal Carolina track & field team continued its strong performance at the historic Penn Relays on Friday afternoon. Reggie Nelson took home the title in the men's high jump college final. He hit a personal best height of 2.16m (7-1.00).

Both men's relays advanced to the college final. The men's 4x100 team of DeAndra Lipscomb, Alexander Hass, Ronnie Jackson and Corey Hackett-Greene finished with a time of 40.70 in the qualifying heats. The Chanticleers will be the fifth seed in the 4x100 college final on Saturday. The 4x400 team of Lipscomb, Hass, Hackett-Greene and Stevie Brunson finished qualifying with a time of 3:10.43. The 4x400 team will be the sixth seed in the college final on Saturday as well.

The women's shuttle hurdle relay team of Ashley Davis, Christina Davis, Camille Hurley and Jessica Gelibert finished third in the Women's Shuttle Hurdle Relay Championship of America. The crossed the line in 56.80.

The women's 4x100 relay team consisting of Ruby Durham, Kelila Naules, Teka Simpson and Symphony Thompson finished sixth in the college final on Friday with a time of 46.16.

Amirah Al-Bayyinah finished sixth in the women's triple jump with a season best distance of 12.51m (41-0.50).

A trio of Chanticleers competed in the 400 hurdles. Senior Russel Kanner led the group, finishing 34th, with a time of 54.71. Kevondre' Hunt came across in 55.32 and Carrington Fernandors finished in 56.39.

The men's sprint medley relay team of Jackson, Fernandors, Deion Wellington and Ryan Beckley placed 24th with a time of 3:30.92.

The Chanticleers will be back in action tomorrow at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.
