Coastal Athletics Set to Host Youth Clinics

The skills clinic is set for Feb. 1. The cheerleading and dance clinics are set for Feb. 8, and Feb. 15, respectively.

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics has announced that it will host three youth clinics, including a basketball skills clinic, a cheerleading clinic and a dance clinic in conjunction with upcoming Chanticleer men's and women's basketball games. 

Daddies and Daughters day is set for Saturday, February 1, during the Coastal Carolina women's basketball game against Longwood. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. with tickets costing $10. A game ticket includes pre-game activities, a voucher for a soft drink and snack and the post-game skills clinic. The post-game skills clinic will be led by CCU student-athletes and coaches, followed by a meet-and-greet autograph session with the team.

The cheerleading clinic will be held on Saturday, February 8, prior to the men's basketball Big South match against Longwood at 2 p.m. The clinic, which is open for youth aged kindergarten through eighth grade, costs $30 and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

The dance clinic will be held on Saturday, February 15, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration for the dance clinic is also open for youth aged kindergarten through eighth, and costs $30. At the conclusion of the dance clinic, the CCU men's basketball team will host Big South rival Gardner-Webb for a 7 p.m. contest.
