CCU Student-Athletes Make Christmas Possible for Local Family

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), with help from the Department of Athletics and the CCU community, raised $3,200, as well as received food and clothing, to allow five local children to attain everything on their Christmas "wish list."

The SAAC began its campaign to help its family with a donation drive during the men's basketball game with Charleston Southern, a game the Chanticleers won to start the Big South season 1-0.

The adopted family fell victim to a devastating house fire and lost all of its clothes and has no means to provide their children with a Christmas.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee would like to thank the community for their support in this effort.
