Third Annual Adopt-A-Chant Program

Dec. 5, 2012

CONWAY - The third annual "Adopt-A-Chant Campaign," sponsored by the Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics and its Student-Athlete Advisory Council, is underway to help provide 31 children in Horry County a happy holiday season.

This is a substantial increase over last year, when Coastal Carolina Athletics was able to successfully adopt six children.

The 31 children submitted a "wish list" and Coastal Carolina teams, individual student-athletes and members of the athletics administration are gathering items such as toys, clothes and shoes to provide help for those who otherwise could not afford it.

While Coastal Athletics should be able to fulfill the "wish list," donations are welcome to ensure all gifts requested get distributed this season. To make a monetary donation or to find out what items could be purchased off the "wish list," please contact Cari Rosiek at 843-349-4126.

The Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics is also serving the community through several other avenues this holiday season by participating in Toys for Tots, Operation Christmas Child and distributing 1,400 pounds of food for local food banks.
