CONWAY - Saturday, July 23 will be “CCU DAY” at local retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach. The event, scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature appearances by Chanticleer coaches, athletic staff, cheerleaders and mascot Chauncey. Customers will have the opportunity to obtain autographs and free football schedule 
posters, as well as check out new Chanticleer merchandise. Football tickets and other prizes will also be raffled during the event.
“Over the last two years, we have developed a strong relationship with Dick’s Sporting Goods and are grateful for their belief in the Chanticleer brand,” said Matt Hogue, associate vice president for marketing at Coastal Carolina University. “We know that Chanticleer fans will turn out in full force to show their support and help us kick-off the upcoming athletic season.”
CCU DAY is the latest initiative of the University’s trademark licensing program designed to expand the supply of Chanticleer-branded merchandise. Within the Grand Strand region alone, more than 45 retailers stock and sell products featuring official University marks and over 125 vendors worldwide are licensed to produce CCU-branded products.
