Coastal Carolina senior catcher Jose Iglesias has been named the Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics Athlete of the Week.

CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina University senior baseball player Jose Iglesias (Miami, Fla./St. John's) has been selected as the Department of Athletics Athlete of the Week for April 5-11, it was announced today.
Iglesias went 9-of-16 at the plate with 10 runs-batted-in in four Chanticleer victories this week. He went 3-for-4 with three RBI's in the 20-1 win over UNC Wilmington April 6. Iglesias then had an RBI double in the 10-9 win over High Point Friday night. The senior was 3-for-5 with four RBI in the 14-4 win over the Panthers on Saturday and finished the week with a 2-for-4, two-RBI performance in the 7-2 win Sunday afternoon.
This season, Iglesias leads the team with a .375 batting average and leads the Big South with 48 RBI.
Coastal Carolina will end its eight-game homestand Tuesday, April 13 against The Citadel. First pitch is at 6 p.m., at Watson Stadium/Vrooman Field.
