Coastal Carolina University men's basketball redshirt-senior Joseph Harris (Lejeune, N.C./Lejeune) has been named the Coastal Carolina Department of Athletics Athlete of the Week for the week starting Feb. 8.

Harris averaged 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 72.0 percent from the field (18-of-25) in two Big South wins last week. He scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 96-60 win over Gardner-Webb on Feb. 4, as he hit 8-of-10 from the field and corralled seven defensive boards in just 24 minutes of action. Harris then tied his season-high with 24 points in the Chanticleers' 98-62 victory over UNC Asheville on Feb. 6. He added nine rebounds, three steals and two assists in the win.

Coastal Carolina starts a three-game road trip Thursday, Feb. 11 at High Point. Tip off is at 7 p.m., in the Millis Center.
