Coastal Carolina University women's basketball player Sydnei Moss has been named the Coastal Carolina Athlete of the Week for her performance Jan. 5- Jan. 11.

In the 74-68 win over Charleston Southern on Jan. 9, Moss posted a double-double with a career-high 29 points and 10 rebounds. Moss put the game out of reach by hitting a jumper and a free throw in the final minute of the game. The North Augusta, S.C. native went 11-of-18 from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe against the Buccaneers. Moss leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game and rebounds with 6.2 per game.

The Chanticleers continue their four game home-stand on Monday, January 18 against Winthrop at 7 p.m. in Kimbel Arena.
