 Tryout Information
This web page provides information for any student who is interested in trying out for a sport at Coastal Carolina University. Tryout dates are set by the respective coaching staffs and are subject to change at the discretion of the head coach. These dates for each sport are included below. Individuals interested in trying out must have completed all applicable requirements listed below in the Pre-Participation Checklist before trying out. Additionally, athletics department staff members cannot assess an individual's eligibility for participation in intercollegiate athletics until completion of the first three tasks outlined below.
Pre-Participation Checklist
All of the following tasks must be completed before trying out for a Coastal Carolina University athletics team:
- Receipt of an initial-eligibility certification decision, both academic and amateurism, from the NCAA Eligibility Center.

- Submission of an official transcript from your high school showing proof of high school graduation to the Coastal Carolina University Department of Admissions (Required for all incoming freshmen and transfer students with less than 24 hours of transfer credit).

- Submission of official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities previously attended to the Coastal Carolina University Department of Admissions, including any college coursework completed while enrolled in high school.

- Completion of the CCU Athletic Training medical information packet, which must be accompanied by a physical examination, a sickle cell solubility test and proof of insurance.

- A completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file at Coastal Carolina University.

Tryout Dates and Information
Baseball
Mandatory Informational Meeting: September 1 at 4:00 pm at Baseball Stadium
Tryout: September 13 at 6:00 pm
Location: Baseball Stadium
Must attend informational meeting and complete all necessary tasks to participate in the tryout.

Mandatory Informational Meeting: September 7th at 4:00pm in Kimbel Arena
Tryout: September 14th - Time TBA

Men's Cross Country
Mandatory Informational Meeting: August 15th at 10:00 am - Location TBA
Tryout: August 16th at 6:30 am
Location: Coastal Carolina University Track and Field Complex
Notes: Tryout will consist of a 5,000m time trial.
